With our daughter's diabetes, we like to keep really organised. The main thing we have to keep on top on is the insulin. We have to keep three sorts in stock, all in date, even though we're only really using one regularly.
I decided that rather than having these out of sight, out of mind, we should have a reminder in the form or a white board with the note written on it.
So I decided to try and make it a bit more interesting.
I purchased a magnetic white board and added that to the wall in the kitchen, then made up some little vegetable fridge magnets with some scraps of lime and sycamore.
.
It's a fun project, and a great one to use up some scraps of wood that might not otherwise get used.
Would you have these little magnets on your fridge?
You make 'em, I'll buy some! My woodworking talents extend to sharpening a pencil.
ReplyDeleteI am anti fridge magnets - dust collectors! But those are very lovely - must be a fiddly job to make - I reckon they would sell well to many gardeners.
ReplyDeleteGreat paint job on the too.
ReplyDeleteWe have a magnetic whiteboard on our kitchen wall already mostly to keep track of our needed groceries the next time we go shopping and sometimes for school reminders. But we just have plain magnets stuck to it and really the carved magnet holder ideas could be endless. I like your vegetables because they relate to cooking in the kitchen so would fit right in.
ReplyDeleteYes I would like them on my fridge the red chilli is probably my favourite.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I have a magnetic white board that I use as a menu board. We were always eating the same stuff week in week out. Oh, today is Tuesday, that's shepherds pie day. Now I can sit back and work out all the different recipes that I can use so we have different, exciting and sometimes very obscure meals. Lol. However I love your fridge magnets.
