Getting My First Bees

So the last few weeks have been a bit wild for me. I don't think I've actually sat down in the last three weeks!

My business has been really crazy, which is awesome. I've been trying to make as much as I can to make sure no one is disappointed. The other thing that's been filling my time is a bit of beekeeping. Not just from the training course every week, but I've also got some of my own bees now!

So with a knock at the door it all properly began for me!
The video explains it better than I'll probably write it so give it a watch. Hopefully makes for some good viewing!

Let me know what you think.

  1. That's fantastic Kev, so pleased for you. You're going to be so busy from now on that I bet we'll hardly see anything of you. In the video you look like you've lost weight too, probably don't have the time to eat now! But...didn't you say you weren't keen on honey or am I imagining that?

    1. I've lost a bit of weight, but to be honest it goes up and down with the seasons. This time of year I don't stop much. I always swim three times a week no matter what, so it's more just the extra outside stuff I think.
You're right on the honey. Over the last 10 years I've been training myself to like it because I wanted to keep bees. I love it now!

  2. You do seem to thrive under pressure! Well done. Looking forward to seeing the process, especially with the children getting involved, as I'm sure they will. Just think of all that luscious honey you'll be getting. Enjoy your new charges.

    1. You've got to keep life interesting. My poor wife though, I think she knows I'm mad.
