My mum has the most amazing garden shed (it should be, we built it for her!), and it's filled with the most amazing items she's collected over the years.
One thing that always catches my eye is this little tote.
I decided that it would be a fun project to make a reproduction one.
I spend a fair bit of my time making lots of small batches of my products, so it's sometimes fun to make something different (even if it's not that different to what I normally make). I liked how simple the other one was made, just pinned together with reinforced corners. Ply in the middle (so no short grain).
What do you think? Would you want one of these in your garden shed?
Many years ago, I made a very similar tote for my wife but made it from 3/4 inch material (19 mil to you) which is all I had on hand at the time. Every time I see that tote I get the urge to remake it because the proportions were just all wrong. The one you made it much more pleasing to my eye proportion-wise.
ReplyDeleteI make thicker ones to sell, probably 3/4" but to get it to look right the whole thing is bigger. This feels right, but my other ones are pretty indestructable.
