I know it's very crass to talk about what gifts you got, but I thought I'd share how perfect some of these were!
Lots of seeds and lots for microgreens which I can grow now!
A selection of books which reflect my interests very well - writing, growing and woodwork! The seed detective is written by a friend who is part of the seed swap I help at each year.
My brother got me a professional pruning saw. These saws will cut almost as fast as a power saw, ideal for all the tree pruning I've got to do this winter.
Also got another board game - we play a lot of board games and I've always fancied Catan.
So far we've only played it twice and it's already become one of my favourites!
I'm feel very spoilt!
Anyone else get anything cool?
Next I'll share the few gifts I ended up making for friends and family.
I like the look of your pruning saw - mine got wet and went rusty on one of my house moves - annoying
ReplyDeleteIt's doesn't take much to send them rusty, maybe a rub down with some wire wool and light oil would revive it.
DeleteThey're good, I think my main advantage is that I'm in my workshop everyday so not much chance of stuff going rusty in there.
DeleteLove games but like to play with family whom we hardly every see:(
ReplyDeleteAt the moment the kids enjoy playing these games with us, so long as the rules aren't too hard - both girls understood Catan really well. I also have nights for some friends to come over and play.
DeleteWe definitely like the gift of that pruning saw. We have quite a bit to do too. Might look into that.
ReplyDeleteI have the "pocket boy" and it's been great, as well a laplander. I they're aggressive cutting but do the job well on fresh wood.
DeleteI don't feel that it's crass to talk about your presents on here. It's your blog so you can talk about what you want for your own reasons. I enjoyed seeing your presents, I particularly liked the saw which is something I've often wanted but never managed to buy so to receive as a gift is brill.
ReplyDeleteI've kept thinking about buying one. When I'd go do my mums trees I'd borrow my brothers and always loved it as it was so fast. But lots to do here as well. I'll still use my small saws as well.
DeleteThat pruning saw looks just the ticket.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they're rapid!
DeleteKev, I always love seeing what other people got - and yours look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was pleased!
