My eldest daughter almost made me cry this morning with her lovely note she had written me.
It reads:
"You are the best daddy in the world.
You grow food for us to live.
You buy chickens for eggs and meat.
You helped me choose my glasses.
You help me learn lots of stuff.
If something is poisonous then you say.
You are a great Beaver Teacher.
You cook delicious food especially flapjack.
You are an amazing carpenter, you made the whole entire kitchen.
Lots and lots and lots of love..."
She is always so appreciative of everything and constantly tells us how lucky she is. We're so fortunate to have such lovely humble children.
well, you deserve a note like that as much as anyone i know! happy father's day kev!
ReplyDeleteAwww... that's so sweet. You're obviously doing something right.
ReplyDeleteHI Ken,
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your blog. You have a lovely family. Keep doing what you are doing, it is worth and it will mean so much to your kids when they are adults!

I am so glad you showed a photo of her lovely writing, your children are a reflection of their parents, well done, I can feel how proud you are of them in your writing.
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAH How lovely is that and I bet you bake flapjacks today! I have given some thought to your query about teaching children about plant, All parents must teach there children about stinging nettles and hogweed scars and not putting things in their mouths like shiny berries and unknown mushrooms etc but they seem to feel their way into other experiments. Both of my children at different periods managed to jam pussy willow up their noses. You just have to try your best. Which I am sure you do and your daughter agrees.
