The kitchen is slowly taking shape.
I'm determined to have it mostly done for Christmas day and to cook and eat in there!
One thing I really wanted was a new table. Of course in my usual fashion I couldn't find any I liked that I could afford. So instead decided to make a family table to have int he centre of the room.
I've managed to get four coats of oil on it so far! Really pleased with how it looks. The units will be painted the same colour as the legs.
I now need to pain the units again, make all the unit doors and drawer fronts and do all the plumbing. Plus a hundred other jobs when I think of them! Can't wait for Christmas day to sit int here and (hopefully) feel happy with it all.
Nothing like a deadline!
You are just so bloody clever, it will look amazing. Merry Christmas

ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! It all looks fantastic Kev. Enjoy using it :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be absolutely fabulous Kev, and why would you want to buy kitchen units and furniture when you can make them all yourself so brilliantly! I can see new armchairs, sofas and wardrobes coming next...along with the sheepskin carpets. You're just so brilliant Kev!
ReplyDeleteThe solid wood work top looks familiar, son Adam has just made a desk out of it 4 cuts and a festool domino and it looks brilliant, but it he has been trained by Kevin! It's great to see such craftsmanship.
