Put together a veg box for a friend this week.
I really was pleased with the colours and the selection.
Clockwise from left to right:
Celeriac,
Lovage,
Patty Pan Summer Squash,
Swiss Chard,
Carrots,
Florence Fennel,
Globe Artichokes,
Tomatilos,
I love how much is available this time of year!
What would be in your dream box for October?
Lovely box. I love sweet potatoes with cinnamon, red onions for a greek salad and lovely sweet carrots to go with a sunday roast.
ReplyDeleteNeed to try growing sweet potatoes, never have!
DeleteThat would be my dream veg box right there and one I would pay well for. You've got 4 things in it I've never grown. Looks great!
ReplyDeleteWhich four? I like to keep growing different things!
Deleteswede and pumpkin! yum
ReplyDeleteI think they'll both be in the next box - well not pumpkin but winter squash!
DeleteI would also add Swede, Leek and onions.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't wait to dig my first leek. Cooked int e oven with butter until meltingly soft, served with salmon on top! Yum!
DeleteSpinach, spinach and more spinach.
ReplyDeleteI've got none ready at the moment, putting in my winter stuff now though! I do like it in the spring, lovely fresh and green. Grows so well here, I love it!
DeleteThat's a very upmarket veg box. It would cost a fortune to get one like that where we used to live in Southern England.
ReplyDeleteMy dream box for October would just be one with ready washed vegetables in ... it doesn't matter what sort ... I'm just fed up of washing mud off veggies ;-)
