Vlog Episode 4 - Homestead Tour

It's been a while since I did a video and with so much going on at the moment I thought it might be good to walk you all around some of the homestead.
This video is just filmed as it is, very little editing except where I ran out of memory as I was looking at my beetroots!
Let me know what you think and what you'd like to see in the next one and I'll try to include it.
Or let me know if you'd like a video on anything in particular.

    1. This year I'm really on it for early crops but I could be caught out if it comes really cold. Most of my garden is covered with fleece at the moment so fairly ugly to look at but should keep things moving a bit faster!

  3. Kev, what kind of camera are you using? Can you plug your camera into your computer and download the videos directly to it? I'd like to emulate your efforts, though on different topics of course...

    1. This is all off my phone and not a very good one at that! I do just plug intot he computer, connect up and download it. I'd love to see some videos that you'll turn out, hopefully survivalist related!

    1. Thanks! Glad you like the blog and the video. I'm afraid my accent is a little bit Herefordshire and it seems to get worse as I get older!

  5. Very nice tour! I'm so jealous of all of the infrastructure you've developed, it will take me years to get to that point. I'm surprised to see how many things you put in from transplants that are direct sown here. Have you had any problems with the plastic keeping rainfall off of the soil?

    1. The infrastructure is taking time to put into place, Ideally I want a barn to lamb the sheep in but I'm a long way from that yet! Next video I'll show you the patio and how the extension is coming along.
The plastic seems to hold the moisture in at the moment, but it's all an experiment this year. I'm trying to record dates and yields so I know how much I can produce on a certain area. The fleece certainly keeps the rain off a bit but it should keep flea beetle off some leaves I have growing and the pigeons so it's a toss up really.
