7 Tips For Lambing a Small Flock Outdoors

Things have gone well with the lambing this year so I thought I'd do a video show what I've done to try to organise myself and get things to run a little smoother.
Let me know what you think!
Is there anything else you'd like me to do a video on?

  1. Another useful video Kev. I only have 5 breeding ewes. They lamb outside and I then bring them in for a day or two to bond etc. One generally nervous ewe wouldn't follow me in with her lamb so I couldn't number it so your suggestion to do this in advance is helpful.

    1. Thanks Philip, Yeah sometimes my ewes go a bit wild when they've lambed and last year it was a nightmare to number them. It's also really handy at night to spot one I've noticed earlier.

  2. Great video Kev, I like to be organised and each year things have got easier with increasing live stock numbers I agree its all down to confidence, looking forward to seeing your video on sharing or how about foot trimming :-)

    1. Thanks Dawn. I can do one on foot trimming (not a favourite job of mine it must be said!) but shearing I leave to the professionals!
