Seed Swap On Saturday!

It's almost that time of year again - The seed swap in one of our local cities (Hereford) is on this weekend.
I always look forward to it. I've even put off ordering my seeds until afterwards so I know what I need.

Today was a wet and miserable day so I took the time to bag up some parsnip seed I saved from earlier in the year, I had a little help as well.

I've got some more things to bag up yet as well as plenty more parsnip seed! If anyone wants any parsnip seed then please let me know, this stuff is last years seed and grown in the UK so I'm hoping it should be good stuff!

Anyone else going to a seed swap this year?

  1. I don't know of any official seed swap close to me but some of us swap a few seeds now and then. I save a lot of seed and have lots of extra and probably everyone else does but it just doesn't happen. Some seed companies were actually trying to make seed swapping illegal but of course even if it happened I just ignore laws like that.

    1. Yeah, i'm glad that law never passed over there, it would be the beginning of the end. Seed swapping should be something everyone does I think, a great way to increase food security.

    1. You should go and see what you can pick up, they're great just to meet like minded people as well.

  4. Hi Kev, I'd really appreciate some parsnip seed as it's the only thing on my list I haven't got yet - that and lavender but I might buy plants there. I have some that your girls may enjoy growing too :)

  5. Nope, no seed swap in my future. But I did finally sit down today and go through my seeds to see what new ones I need to order. Made me dream about gardening time even though I have lots I want to get done inside yet this winter. Gardening is so rewarding, isn't it?!

Gardening is simply one of my favourite things to do, I just love the whole process of it and everything about it. And you get food as your reward - what's not to like!
