Belly Measuring

I was more than a little disappointed the other day.
The girls decided to measure our bellies. My wife is 9 months pregnant and lets just say the results weren't what I was expecting!
We were measuring the widest points, not our waists by the way!

Nine month pregnant wife measuring in at 110cm (43") round the widest point!

Mine was 106cm (42") around the widest points

The girls wanted in on the fun!

Together they were still less than either of us!

I'm a fairly big guy, 6ft and weigh 15 stone, but I'm not fat ( I wear 36" trousers which are baggy on me!)!
I guess it showed me how much smaller my wife is than me normally if she's only just slightly bigger than me when she has another person inside her! Doon;t worry I'm not going to ask everyone to do a widest point belly reveal on here - You can keep that to yourself!

  1. Checking the girls tape measure against mine this morning I can see I've been fooled! Their toy tape doesn't match up to my real tape measure by quire some inches! I'm not as fat as I thought! Although I am still nearly the same as my wife!

    1. at least it's a good discovery! Women used go through the torture of corsets to gain a 23 inch waist :)

    2. It's mad what they went through, and many girls and ladies are still hung up on it now. Everyone is beautiful!

  2. What should you weigh? Many years ago I read an article that said to compare chest size to belly size. For every 1" the waist is bigger than the chest, that is a 10% increase in chance of a heart attack! You should be okay, full time work away from cookies will do wonders:)

    1. No idea but I'm a manual worker so never worry too much! I have broad shoulders so I'm sure my chest measurement is big as well!

  3. put it down to a winter layer, as soon as you are out in the garden that extra layer will vanish, I am surprised that a toy tape measure dosent measure correctly

  6. I think we all get a bit fatter during the Winter, it's just one of those things, you'll soon work it off in the Spring...not as fast as your wife will do though! Any twinges yet? Do let us know as soon as you can, I'm sure all your readers are dying to know what sex the new baby will be!

  7. I do know that my measurement is going to have to reduce before I next see my quack in 3 months time. If it doesn't, he'll probably flog me.

    1. Worn a 36 since I was 19, I did have to drill a smaller hole in my belt the other day (before christmas) but no way could I fit in a 34"
