Kitchen Garden Tour - July

Another video tour of the kitchen garden and Long Furrows.
This one is a little shaky I'm afraid and there is more weeds than I'd care to admit! Lots of produce growing at the moment, I was almost too ashamed to show everyone my second garden but the grass isn't too bad to pull up!
Let me know what you think.

  1. Thank you for the tour, have you counted up how many different crops you are growing? must be dozens. Everywhere looking very green and lush there, here we are dry and dusty. another short shower today has done no good at all

    1. To be honest I didn't name all the plants as I went round - plenty more growing on as well! No idea on the number but I like a good variety! Been good growing weather lately heavy storms and lots of sunshine

  2. Enjoyed looking round your veg plot Kev. You have a myriad of different vegetables and fruits compared to our veg plot. Your onions look splendid.

    1. I'm pleased with the onions and the garlic looked good before it got rust! I think the key to being self sufficient will be variety and not putting all your eggs in one basket.

  7. Lots to eat there Kev. Those grafted apple trees are looking really good.
I have a Sunset apple, quite an early cropper which is useful, though not such a good keeper. The children like them.

    1. I had a few apples off it last year and they were great. I've grafted a few of them to sell as well. I'm really pleased with my grafts this year, they seem ot be doing really well. I have watered them in the dry spells which has help. More next year I think.

  8. Gosh Kev, you work so hard don't you. It's all looking great, wish I had the space that you do! Just noticed today that just one of my apple grafts has taken, so exciting!

    1. Sometimes!
glad your graft has taken. I might do a graft a long next year if you want and post a few videos. I can also buy the root stocks at a wholesale price as well (although ebay is pretty cheap).
